Education and Americanism Award (ROTC)
This award recognizes second or third year cadets with an academic standing in the top 25 percent of their class who encourage and demonstrate patriotism by deeds or conduct during participation in extracurricular activities or community projects.
Education and Americanism Award (JROTC)
This award recognizes one outstanding cadet in the second year of a 3-year program or in the third year of a 4-year program. The cadet must have contributed the most among cadets on campus to encourage and demonstrate Americanism by deeds or conduct, have demonstrated academic excellence by being in the top 25% of his or her academic class, have demonstrated a potential for outstanding leadership.

JROTC Awards
The Orient of Oregon offers a limited number of $500 awards for JROTC Cadets who demonstrate those qualities of leadership embodied in the JROTC program. These awards are limited to those Cadets who are committed to enrollment in an accredited college or trade school, or enlistment in the military service, the year following their graduation from high school. The colleges or trade schools are not restricted to those located in the State of Oregon. Winners of these awards will be announced at the School annual JROTC Awards function by a representative of the Scottish Rite. The cash amount of the award will be given to the recipient one month prior to the beginning of his college, trade school or enlistment, unless other arrangements are made.
