Tuesday October 20th the Portland Valley Scottish Rite will be Conferring the 28th Degree of the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. All Scottish Rite Masons 27th Degree and higher are welcome to attend.
Traviling and Visiting Scottish Rite Brothers are welcome with their home Valley dues card.
The lesson of the Twenty-Eighth Degree or Knight Commander of the Temple is Masonry is pratical and requires its members to be actively involved in life. Virtue and duty have been the same in all times. In many of the degrees of the Scottish Rite, the candadate is styled a Knight; this, however is the first of the truly Chivalric Degrees.
