Friendship / Fellowship / Fraternity you’re Invited!
As the Valleys of the Scottish Rite in Portland and other Valleys are far from home and difficult for the brothers to travel there frequently to attend regular meetings and have fellowship in the Scottish Rite, our Illustrious Sovereign Grand Inspector General Brother Rick Komraus, 33°, and myself as Venerable Master have been able to organize and through the help of seven brothers who drove to Portland and got knighted, start and charter The first Central Oregon Chapter of the Knights of Saint Andrew to exist as a service organization, so as to better serve our brethren, their ladies and guests who participate in Reunions and social activities.
Our services include, but are not limited to: greeting and escorting visitors; assisting in all aspects of the performance and production of degrees; performing ceremonial duties at Honours; and, on occasion, serving as stewards of the building as well as other duties that may arise; open and close a Lodge of Saint Andrew with the intent to provide education on the degrees of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite; and serving other valleys by timely request and upon the capacity of the Knights of Saint Andrew Central Oregon Chapter.
As the Venerable Master of the Central Oregon Chapter I invite any and all Scottish Rite brothers regardless of their Valley to join us on the third Thursday of every month at 7:00 at Bend Lodge as we open lodge and join your brothers as we endeavor to have fun, socialize and learn more about the Scottish Rite degrees through lectures given to us from Illustrious Brother Ted Balestreri, 33°, from the University of the Scottish Rite and assist our brothers in service, to the glory of masonry and our Scottish Rite brethren.
Please bring your Scottish Rite hat and your dues card showing your active membership in the Scottish Rite regardless of your valley. Please support your brothers and our very own Central Oregon Chapter of The Knights Of Saint Andrew as a part of Scottish Rite.
“Masonic labor is purely a labor of love. He who seeks to draw wages in gold and silver will be disappointed. The wages of a Mason are earned and paid in their dealings with one another”.
