Saturday, November 4th, 2023, the Portland Valley Scottish Rite is hosting the Orient of Oregon Ceremonies of Honour for the 2023 Supreme Council Honourmen Elect. 

All Knights Commander of the Court of Honour and Thirty-third Degree members in Oregon are requested to attend. 

Honors Program Schedule

Portland Valley Scottish Rite Temple, Saturday, November 4th, 2023

• 1:00 p.m. – Blue Lodge Room – Coronation Ceremony Thirty-Third Degree, Inspector General Honorary, 33° Group Photo (33º Candidates & 33° Members Only)
• 3:00 p.m. – Members Lounge – Reception Break and Individual Portrait Photos of Honourmen (All Scottish Rite Masons, Significant Others and Friends)
• 3:30 p.m. – Auditorium – Ceremony of Investiture Knights Commander of the Court of Honor (All Scottish Rite Masons, Blue Lodge Mason, Significant Others and Friends)
• 6:30 p.m. – Multnomah Athletic Club – Social (No Host Bar)
• 7:00 p.m. – Multnomah Athletic Club – Orient of Oregon Honors Banquet & Awards Ceremony ($35 per person for all Scottish Rite Masons, Significant Others, and Friends)

Attire is black tie or dark suit. Parking will be available near the Portland Temple and the MAC.

Free parking for the Orient of Oregon Honours Ceremony is being provided by the Portland Artist Reparatory Theater in the lot behind the Morrison Plaza Building, one block from our Portland Temple.

Invitations have been mailed to all Orient of Oregon Honourmen for 2023. All 2021 Honourmen are also extended a cordial invitation in the mail to attend and witness the full ceremonies for the 33° and K.C.C.H. Registration will be open to the general membership shortly.

Tomorrow the Orient of Oregon is holding our Leadership Workshop Saturday, July 15th, 2023, at 10am, hosted at the Portland Valley Scottish Rite Temple. Attendance by all Valley Leadership is requested, most especially for each of the Valleys’ Body Heads, their Officers, VMAP Chairmen, Membership Chairmen, Directors of the Work, and also Personal Representatives, General Secretaries, and Treasurers. Zoom is provided for those who are unable to attend in person.

This summer we will be having an Orient of Oregon Leadership Workshop on Saturday, July 15th, 2023, at 10am, hosted at the Portland Valley Scottish Rite Temple. Attendance by all Valley Leadership is requested, most especially for each of the Valleys’ Body Heads, their Officers, VMAP Chairmen, Membership Chairmen, Directors of the Work, and also Personal Representatives, General Secretaries, and Treasurers. A Zoom registration option is being provided for those who are unable to attend in person, please register if you plan to attend either way.

The theme this year for the Workshop, Retooling the Rite, centers around the idea of equipping the Leadership of each Valley with ideas and best practices for how to adapt our operation and make the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in Oregon more useful and suitable to what Masons want to be a part of and stay actively involved.

Topics thus far include:

• Membership
• The Orient Demographics, membership trends, and generations
• Scottish Rite Charities and fundraising
• Using Technology in your Valley
• Leadership
• History of the Scottish Rite in Oregon
• Good Stewardship of your Valley
• Ritual around the orient
